An inspirational evening of poems and performance. 

An inspirational evening of poems and performance from the poet who tweets every morning with words of wisdom and humour.  Lemn has worked on various More Music projects including The Long Walk and Preston Guild and has an international reputation as a writer and performer. The night will be fun and full of powerful stories. Lemn was the official poet for the London Olympics and recently appointed Chancellor of Manchester University.
OFF STAGE WITH LEMN SISSAY - Sunday 13 March 10.30am-4pm £25: Lemn will be running a workshop on the process of creative writing to make your own lyrics and spoken word pieces alongside More Music's Pete Moser who will help you turn them into song.  Book your place at

Booking Information

Tickets are available for the reduced rate of £10 (£7 concessions) in advance. On the night, tickets will cost £12 (£9 concessions). You can buy tickets in advance in three ways:

  • Call 01539 725133 to buy over the phone. There is a booking fee of £1.50 per transaction.
  • Phone and online bookings will close at 6pm on the day of the gig, any remaining tickets will be available on the door at The Hothouse.
  • You can buy tickets in person from our venue the Hothouse, The Brewery Arts Centre and from Morecambe Visitor Information Centre in the Platform.
