Off Stage with Sam Lee
Stories and Songs
Where do the songs come from, how are they made, what stories do they tell and how is the music made. Hear from Sam Lee (www.samleesong.co.uk
) and discover how he finds old songs and makes them relevant to contemporary audiences.
"Well it feels like its been a long time coming but here at last is somebody doing really creative things with traditional English folk song." Late Junction
Also, work with Pete Moser to discover how songs can be made with the community, taking contemporary stories and themes and making new songs that celebrate life in a fractured society. Consider style, melody and find new methods of working.
