Off Stage with Tarang

Uncover the  mystery of Indian music

Sun 8 February, 10.30am-4.30pm

Off Stage with Tarang

Uncover the mystery of Indian music at a workshop with the brilliant young musicians from Tarang working alongside More Music’s Peter Moser.

Explore ragas, konnakol, and gain a deeper knowledge of the roles and interplay of the different instruments in Indian classical music – sitar, veena, violin, voice and percussion.

Tarang is the UK’s National Ensemble for Indian Music. All members of the ensemble are early-career musicians performing Hindustani (north Indian) or Carnatic (south Indian) music. The ensemble is also strengthened by classically trained Western musicians who bring their instruments, musical experience, and skills into the mix, which further enhances the ensembles creative platform. Find out more at www.milapfest.com/tarang.

See Tarang perform at the Hothouse on Saturday 7 February www.moremusic.org.uk/tarang
