HK Arrival

I have arrived in Hong Kong after 2 weeks of travelling with Kathryn, doing one man band gigs and spending time with friends. Now the real work starts in earnest with a series of workshops, lectures, meetings and collaborations as I try to find the way to secure a long term community music programme in the city. This is the key aim and of this trip and I will be linking up with many of the partners we have worked with over the years, searching for funding and contexts for the development of the programme. The key mover is Gus Mok from CCCD and this evening we are hosting an artists roundtable at the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre to share and discuss how to move on in the future.
The other theme over the period is how to develop a unique offer into International Schools that can be delivered by various More Music musicians and that will enable us to subsidise and progress the social change projects within the community. We shall see how all of this develops and this daily blog will be my way of sharing my learning with any of you who wants to read !
