Catch the Wind is an annual festival that has put Morecambe back on the map as a tourist destination for a 'grand day out'. Now in its fourteenth year it is a well established, much loved highlight of Morecambe’s summer calendar. Listeners to The Bay Radio voted it 'Morecambe's favourite festival' in 2014 and it brings 15,000 visitors to the town each year. This year the festival is happening in 27 and 28 June from 12noon to 5pm.

More Music is looking for 10 businesses to become Festival Friends. For just £100 you can be part of one of Morecambe most successful weekends and have your name displayed proudly on:
  • More Music's website
  • More Music's Facebook (1800 likes)
  • More Music's Twitter (1900 followers) @MoreMusic1
  • Banners displayed at the central Information Point over the festival weekend.
  • Promotional email newsletters to 2000 More Music subscribers.
Morecambe Bay provides a stunning backdrop for spectacular aerial displays. There are beautiful kites of all shapes and sizes flown by professional fliers from across the country. On the beach hundreds of people – children, teenagers and families – fly their own kites enjoying a fun, free, family day out.

We decorate the seafront with flags, bunting and windsocks to make a fantastic looking festival and there's all kinds of live music from pop, jazz and world music from bands from across the North West. You'll find street entertainers along the prom amusing and enchanting the crowds with music, puppetry, stories and magic. Craft workshops for all ages take place in and around the Platform and are run by brilliant local artists. It’s Morecambe at its best.
