We know that the benefits and pleasures of music in our lives can start at a very young age. In our Clapping Song sessions we focus on building confidence and language skills and strengthening bonds with children.

Our Music Leaders will demonstrate instruments and teach songs from all over the world and as children progress they’ll learn how to make a band with a wide range of percussion instruments.

What’s involved?

Throughout the sessions expect to sing both new and familiar songs, including name songs, nursery rhymes, finger rhymes and action songs. As movement and action are so important for children’s development we include lots of games that are fun as well as educational, such as: musical obstacle courses, musical relay races, silly song writing and action stations.

What’s it like?

Here’s what other participants had to say:

“This is my granddaughter’s favourite group. We sing and play her favourite songs at home and she now takes a greater interest in music in general.”

“My son’s speech is a bit behind and it has come on leaps and bounds since coming to this group. It was recommended to me and I can’t speak highly enough of it.”
